Moldovan carabineers and police officers who, in the summer of 2024, took part in the first international security mission for Moldova during the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris have been officially recognized by the French Embassy in Moldova for their professionalism and dedication.

Police officers, border police, and staff from the General Inspectorate for Migration will benefit, over the next three years, from modern training and advanced equipment aimed at improving their efficiency and enabling rapid, professional interventions in support of citizens.

The 13th meeting of the European Union Security Hub, held in Chisinau, carried special significance as it marked nearly three years since the establishment of the EU Support Hub for Internal Security and Border Management in the Republic of Moldova. 

The Moldovan Ministry of Internal Affairs has signed a Cooperation Agreement with the International Police Association (IPA) in the presence of representatives from 10 countries. Signed by Secretary of State Alexandru Bejan, the agreement sets the stage for active collaboration across several areas, all aimed at enhancing public safety.

A football match should be all about excitement, cheering and the shared joy of coming together. To ensure that every international competition hosted in Moldova is safe, vibrant and incident-free, the Government has approved a key measure: the establishment of a National Football Information Point within the General Inspectorate of Carabineers.

The General Inspectorate for Migration (IGM) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs will receive support from the European Union to enhance its work in the areas of migration and asylum. Through a Twinning project, the IGM will develop a more efficient system aligned with European norms and standards.
