Peace and women have a great deal in common. In my role as Commissioner, I want to tell you that the essence of our work is to advance peace and security across the European continent. This is how the European Union began after the Second World War. The goal has always been to ensure peace, security, prosperity, and freedom throughout Europe.

From opportunities to real impact: women – pillars of peace and sustainable security

More than 150 government leaders, international experts, and civil society and academia representatives are gathering for two days in Chișinău for the international conference “Women for Security – From Opportunities to Real Impact: Advancing the Role of Women in Peace and Security Processes for the Next 25 Years”. 

The Ministry of Internal Affairs in dialogue with Venice Commission representatives

The reform of the criminal justice system and the development of mechanisms to combat corruption and organized crime were the main topics discussed during the meeting between Alexandru Bejan, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the Venice Commission rapporteurs, who were on a working visit to Chișinău.
