Moldova has joined the international community of fire and emergency services by participating in the second World Fire Congress, held on 8 - 9 September 2026 in London, United Kingdom.

Security begins with preparedness: better-protected borders, rapid exchange of information, professionals equipped to address new forms of crime, and emergency services capable of responding when every minute counts.

The 15th meeting of the European Union Security Hub concluded in Chișinău with a set of concrete actions to strengthen the fight against drugs. The Republic of Moldova and its European partners will accelerate information sharing, cross-border investigations, the identification of new psychoactive substances, and the development of an early warning system, while further strengthening prevention efforts and protecting public health.

Moldova is stepping up its fight against drugs through three major initiatives: bringing European partners together through the Security Hub, launching a new phase of cooperation with the European Union Drugs Agency (EUDA), and strengthening prevention among children and young people through a joint platform established by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Education and Research.

The Republic of Moldova and the European Union are stepping up their joint response to drug trafficking at a time when synthetic drugs, new psychoactive substances and online distribution channels are rapidly reshaping the illicit drug market.

The Republic of Moldova is strengthening its capacity to prevent and address drug-related challenges through closer cooperation with the European Union Drugs Agency (EUDA).
