Moldova - Romania partnership: lives connected through 112

Calls to 112 will be answered faster, with more secure communications, and interventions carried out using modern technologies and highly trained teams. Citizens can be confident that help will arrive promptly and at the highest standards.

Today in Bucharest, the Republic of Moldova and Romania took another step forward in modernizing the 112 emergency service. Minister of Internal Affairs Daniella Misail-Nichitin and General Dr. Eng. Ionel-Sorinel Vasilca, First Deputy Director of Romania’s Special Telecommunications Service, signed a joint commitment to further develop the system.

The collaboration includes the exchange of expertise, training of specialists in cybersecurity and telecommunications, the development of digital applications and platforms, as well as public awareness campaigns to strengthen trust in emergency services.

In the long term, this partnership aligns the Republic of Moldova with European digital standards and enhances protection against modern risks, transforming 112 into a secure, modern service that truly serves citizens.
