Greater security for citizens: MIA and GS Foundation extend partnership

Minister of Internal Affairs Daniella Misail-Nichitin met with representatives of the Global Security Sector Reform Foundation (GS Foundation) to sign an additional agreement extending their ongoing cooperation. The agreement prolongs the project "Strengthening security and administrative capacities within the Ministry of Internal Affairs" until March 2027.

The extended project will support the modernization of the internal affairs system by enhancing project management capacities, digitizing the MIA’s electronic archives, and strengthening the ministry’s ability to use drones for civil security purposes.

"Through this project, we are advancing institutional reforms and improving the way we deliver services to citizens. It is an investment that reinforces security and builds people's trust in state institutions", the minister stated.

The partnership with the GS Foundation focuses on strengthening the MIA’s capacity to prevent and manage crises, combat crime, and respond effectively to emerging security challenges.
