The Republic of Moldova is strengthening national security with the implementation of goTravel AIR, an advanced digital solution designed to enhance border control while reducing waiting times for citizens. The system also ensures compliance with the highest international standards for protecting passengers' personal data.
In addition to streamlining border procedures, goTravel AIR improves coordination with neighbouring countries in the fight against terrorism, human trafficking and other security threats.
The legislation approving this initiative includes the ratification of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of the Republic of Moldova and the United Nations. The draft law was developed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs team.
goTravel AIR is a globally recognized system that automatically collects and analyses passenger travel data, identifying potential risks in real time. By integrating international databases, automating border checks and utilizing advanced algorithms to detect threats, the system enhances security while expediting screening process and ensuring efficient data management in line with global best standards.
