The Ministry of Internal Affairs announces that the Government of the Republic of Moldova approved the National Program for Crime Prevention and Control for 2026 – 2030. This program reflects the state’s strong commitment to safeguarding the lives, property, and fundamental freedoms of citizens, while enhancing internal security in line with European Union standards.

A key innovation of the program is its multidimensional approach, which combines the use of modern technologies, the development of advanced investigative techniques, intensified international police cooperation, and data sharing with European law enforcement agencies. Particular attention is given to combating cybercrime, addressing digital violence against women and children, and curbing the influence of organized crime networks.

Through this Program, the state aims to create a safer environment for all citizens by implementing concrete measures to reduce violence, protect life and property, support victims, and safeguard vulnerable groups. The Program is aligned with the European Union’s strategic priorities for 2026 – 2029 and will contribute to building a safer society where the rule of law prevails and the business environment can prosper.

The approval of the Program establishes a coordinated and unified framework for crime prevention and control policies, ensuring a direct positive impact on public safety and strengthening citizens’ trust in state institutions.
