Safety, preparedness, equality: Ministry of Internal Affairs and GS Foundation forge sustainable partnership for a safer and more equitable society

The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) and the Global Security Sector Reform Foundation (GS Foundation) are strengthening their collaboration to build a more effective, transparent and people-cantered security sector. The signing of the new Cooperation Agreement marks a decisive step toward protecting citizens and upholding democratic values.

The partnership aims to enhance MIA’s capacity to prevent and manage crises, combat crime more effectively and respond swiftly to emerging security threats. At the same time, the initiative promotes values of equality, diversity and inclusion within the institution, fostering a representative, community-oriented public service.

These efforts bring tangible benefits to citizens: more accessible public services, faster interventions and a stronger sense of safety for all. The collaboration between MIA and GS Foundation is grounded in trust, professionalism and a shared vision for a safer future in Moldova.
