17 April 2025 The Ministry of Internal Affairs and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) are continuing their cooperation to deliver meaningful improvements in the lives of Moldovan citizens. Minister of Internal Affairs Daniela Misail-Nichitin met with Daniela Gasparikova, UNDP Resident Representative in Moldova, to review the progress of ongoing initiatives and discuss plans for their expansion. As part of this partnership, five rapid intervention teams will be equipped with specialized field vehicles and six mobile police stations will be deployed to serve remote communities. Additionally, 400 police officers and 80 prosecutors will receive training to combat cybercrime. Law enforcement agencies will also be outfitted with modern equipment and software to support online crime investigations. The digitalization of fine-related records will further streamline operations, creating a more efficient and citizen-focused police service. The "Stefan cel Mare" Academy will undergo significant modernization, including the renovation of its shooting range to meet international competition standards. "All of these initiatives have a clear goal: to provide greater security, better services and stronger connections between citizens and state institutions," said Minister Misail-Nichitin. The UNDP reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the Ministry’s reform agenda, particularly in the context of Moldova's European integration.
