Minister of Internal Affairs Daniella Misail-Nichitin has received an official letter from INTERPOL, recognizing Moldova's active role in strengthening international security and its close collaboration with the global law enforcement organization.
In his letter, INTERPORL President Dr. Al-Raisi highlighted Moldova’s consistent commitment to combating cross-border crime and its contributions to the success of numerous international initiatives. He also emphasized that the dedication and support of Moldovan law enforcement agencies are essential to achieving INTERPOL's objectives.
The INTERPOL President specifically acknowledged Moldova's involvement in INTERPOL projects and operations such as I-FORCE, which targets transnational organized crime in the Eastern and South-Eastern Europe, and Liberterra II, a large-scale operation against human trafficking and illegal migration. The latter led to 2,517 arrests and the rescue of more than 3,200 victims of human trafficking.
Moldova remains a reliable partner within INTERPOL, with its law enforcement structures actively engaged in intelligence sharing, joint operations and initiatives aimed at enhancing national and international security.
We will continue this collaboration to combat emerging threats and ensure the safety of our citizens.
