Enhancing public safety and modernizing internal affairs services were the key priorities of the meeting of Minister Daniella Misail-Nichitin and the Ambassador of the State of Qatar, Dr. Turki bin Abdullah Zaid Al-Mahmoud.
Discussions focused on developing a unified digital services platform to improve accessibility for citizens, as well as modernizing IT infrastructure to strengthen cybersecurity capabilities. Additionally, the two officials explored opportunities for knowledge exchange between the "Ștefan cel Mare" Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Qatar Police College aiming to implement best practices for maintaining order and security at public events.
In addition to the above, the possibility of signing a Memorandum of Understanding in the field of internal affairs was discussed, with the aim of establishing concrete areas of cooperation.
The meeting also acknowledged the valuable support provided by the State of Qatar to the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations, the General Police Inspectorate and the Medical Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Qatar’s contribution of equipment facilitates rapid and high-quality interventions in support of the community.
