Minister of Internal Affairs Daniella Misail-Nichitin and H.E. Nikolaos Krikos, Ambassador of the Hellenic Republic, discussed the enhancement of bilateral cooperation.
Moldovan rescue teams were commended for their professionalism during firefighting missions in Greece, where they also gained valuable practical experience to enhance their response capabilities at home. The Greek side expressed gratitude for the Ministry of Internal Affairs' continued readiness to assist in natural disasters, reaffirming that this support will be reciprocated in times of need.
To enhance security and improve mobility for citizens of both countries, discussions with Ambassador Krikos emphasized the urgent need to sign:
⁃ The Cooperation Agreement on combating organized crime, illicit trafficking in drugs and psychotropic substances and other serious offences;
⁃ Memorandum on migration and mobility.
Greece's support to the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Moldova’s European integration process will facilitate the adoption of EU legislation, enhancing the efficiency and quality of security services.
To strengthen professional ties and deepen understanding of European standards, discussions explored the possibility of educational exchange programs for students at the Stefan cel Mare Academy.
