Ministry of Internal Affairs awarded for excellence in project management at Global Awards 2024

The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) received the "Community Impact" award at the Global Awards 2024 (PMO), held on December 9 in Istanbul, Turkey. Moldova was represented for the first time at the world’s leading recognition event for excellence in project management, which brought together hundreds of organizations and professionals from over 150 countries.

The award acknowledges the Ministry's efforts to implement sustainable reforms, foster transparency and deliver high-quality services to citizens. It highlights the Ministry's success in managing its portfolio of projects with direct impact on communities, building trust with citizens and donors through the Together 4 Home Affairs platform. The recognition reflects the alignment of the projects run by MIA with international project management standards (PMI), addressing citizens' needs and supporting sustainable development objectives.

Notably, only 32 organizations worldwide were selected this year to receive awards across 16 categories, recognizing innovative approaches to achieving the set goals. MIA is the sole governmental entity from the European continent to earn this distinction.

Awards such as "Community Impact" received by MIA celebrate excellence in critical areas of project implementation, showcasing the professionalism and dedication of institutions working to support communities and partners.
