Poland supports Moldova’s path to EU integration: key discussions on institutional collaboration

 

During a bilateral meeting with H.E. Tomasz Kobzdej, Ambassador of Poland to the Republic of Moldova, Minister Daniella Misail-Nichitin discussed the enhancement of Moldovan-Polish cooperation in the field of home affairs, with a particular focus on Poland's support for Moldova’s European integration process.

The discussions highlighted Poland's valuable experience in aligning national legislation with EU standards and its active role in the EU decision-making process. The two officials also addressed Poland's upcoming Presidency of the Council of the European Union in 2025 and emphasized the need to synchronize institutional agendas.

The Polish partners expressed openness to provide support for strengthening the institutional capacities for rapid response and equipping MIA’s specialized agencies.

The meeting also underscored the Ministry’s efforts in safeguarding electoral processes from external influences, the effectiveness of which was acknowledged.


Minister Misail-Nichitin expressed gratitude to Ambassador Kobzdej for Poland’s contribution to modernizing Moldova’s internal affairs system through assistance projects, technical expertise, and the provision of essential equipment, all of which promote security and stability in the Republic of Moldova.
