23 October 2025 After six months of service under the flag of the Republic of Moldova, the third contingent of Carabinieri deployed to Kosovo has returned home - proud of a mission successfully completed and eager to reunite with their loved ones. Their participation in this mission was a true test of courage, discipline, and dedication. The Carabinieri serving in Kosovo proved themselves to be worthy ambassadors of the Republic of Moldova on the international stage. Every step they took and every decision they made contributed to strengthening peace and security around the world. The homecoming ceremony was attended by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Vladislav Cojuhari; the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Italian Republic to the Republic of Moldova, His Excellency Giuseppe Maria Perricone; the leadership of the General Inspectorate of Carabinieri; the colleagues and the families of the returning Carabinieri. During the mission, which took place between April 20 and October 20, 2025, the Moldovan Carabinieri maintained public order and freedom of movement within their area of responsibility, protected vulnerable communities, and worked alongside international forces to preserve peace in Kosovo. The Ministry of Internal Affairs extends its gratitude to the Carabinieri for their professionalism on the international stage and for the exemplary manner in which they represented the Republic of Moldova. Their return home stands as a testament to their dedication to the nation and their unwavering commitment to the values that define the institution.
