26 November 2025 Citizens living along the Moldova - Romania border will benefit from rapid and well-coordinated medical interventions. Through the project “Modern Health System for the Population”, the Ministry of Internal Affairs Hospital in Moldova will establish, for the first time, a modern Emergency Reception Unit. This will enable doctors to better manage critical cases and provide high-quality care. The project brings modern medical equipment and training for medical staff, ensuring they are prepared to respond swiftly in emergency situations. Medical personnel will take part in experience-sharing exchanges with specialists from Romania, helping them react effectively in any scenario. The project also supports direct collaboration between teams from both countries, which will shorten response times and enable joint interventions whenever necessary. This cross-border cooperation will ensure that medical assistance reaches those in need more quickly. The project kickoff conference took place in Galați, and its objectives include modernizing medical infrastructure, procuring advanced equipment, and organizing joint training and preparedness activities. The project will last two years, from 31 July 2025 to 30 July 2027, during which all planned procurements, upgrades, and training sessions will be carried out. The aim of the project is to ensure that medical emergency response in the cross-border area is fast and safe, so that people feel protected and receive prompt assistance whenever they need it.
